If there is one thing we are most proud of, it’s our amazing location. When staying at Veriu Central you are literally on the doorstep of the ‘real’ Sydney, the one that locals love. Surry Hills cafés and bars are a matter of metres away. Darling Harbour is a simple stroll and the Capitol Theatre but a stone’s throw. Pitt St Mall is a 10-minute walk, Chinatown is around the corner and Central Station is basically at our front door. Whatever the reason for your stay, there is something waiting for everyone, just a few moments away.

Strand Arcade

One of our favourites...The Strand Arcade is Sydney's epicentre of style and design. Named after London's smartest shopping street in the mid nineteenth century, the Strand Arcade houses many of Australia's best designer labels and jewellers. Opening in 1892, the Strand Arcade was the last of the arcades built in Victorian Sydney, and it is the only one remaining today in its original form. Gumption by coffee alchemy is a great place for a coffee pit stop but if you really want to treat yourself head upstairs to Pendolinos.

"We've brought some of the signatures, but about a third of the menu is new from the ground up," owner Chris Lucas says.
