Located in the city’s Eastern Suburbs close to the CBD.

We are a bit spoilt for choice when it comes to swimming spots in Sydney but we do love Wylie's Baths in Coogee. This ocean tidal pool is just a few hundred metres south of Coogee Beach and has 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean. Heaven on earth if we do say so ourselves!

One of the country's leading universities, The University of New South Wales is an easy ten minute stroll from Veriu Randwick. Whether you are in Sydney to visit the campus or a student needing temporary accommodation for your visiting family, we can help.

It is roughly a 5 minute drive to the hospitals from Veriu Randwick or a 10 minute walk. This renowned and much loved Thai restaurant is worth the walk…you get serious bang for your buck and is easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Sydney.

Whether you are in Sydney for work or play, Centennial Park is a great way to stretch out the legs and take in fresh air. Bike hire is also available within the park. With great cafes on site including The Greenhouse, Centennial Homestead and The Spruce Goose Diner and a couple of children’s playgrounds, it is a lovely spot for the whole family to connect with the city. Centennial Park often plays host to numerous events so make sure you check out what's on and plan your visit.

Westfield Bondi Junction is home to one of the city's most upmarket shopping precincts. It has two major supermarkets, a large cinema complex and a renowned food court…try and nab a table overlooking Sydney Harbour. Bondi Junction train station and bus terminal offers direct links to and from the city including a direct bus back to Randwick, which takes approximately 15 minutes.

“The Hordern” as it is affectionately known by Sydneysiders is the home of intimate dance parties and rock concerts. If you are in town for a little rock n roll The Hordern is an easy 10-15 minute Uber drive from Veriu Randwick. Make sure you check out what's on so you don’t miss out!

The Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust is responsible for managing two of Australia’s special sports venues – the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. Together these two grounds form a central sports precinct of international standing that includes a sports museum, Member fitness centre and club facilities. They host nearly 100 sporting and concert events and attract more than 1.5 million visitors each year, so if you are one of those visitors, Veriu Randwick is an easy 10 minute Uber drive to the venue. Score!

Named after a scene in the film ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ this quirky little bar, with antler chandeliers and exposed brick walls, is the perfect spot pre or post dinner and movie. It’s easy to find (opposite the Ritz) and with a cocktail named “young and fashionable” and $7 drinks before 7pm, it would be rude to miss it!

One of Randwick’s most popular places to grab a bite to eat is this vegan burger joint. The man behind Soul Burger, Amit Tewari, is a medical doctor and a member of ‘New Harvest’, an organisation developing alternatives to traditionally produced meat. Honestly though, these burgers are good. Try the falafel burger, or if you are after something a little more filling go for the sumo burger, packed full of chargrilled field mushrooms, a pepper-spiked (plant-based) sausage, roasted red capsicum, lettuce, tomato and a fresh tasting tomato relish. No burger is complete without a milkshake…made from soya milk and house-made coconut ice cream, these milkshakes are thick, frothy and not too sweet. But hey, if that’s all too much for you they have Sydney's own craft beer, Young Henry’s beer on tap too.

Land at Sydney Airport and you’ll be a short train or taxi ride from a great night’s sleep at any of our Veriu Hotels in Sydney. The domestic airport station is even closer still, making interstate business trips a breeze. You can sleep so much sounder knowing you’ll be able to wake rested, grab a fresh coffee to go from our lounge bar and make that flight with time to spare.
